Yes, I can confirm it now works as expected. Thank you for the quick fix.

We've found the problem with this and have implemented a fix, so it should hopefully be working OK for you now.

Yup, confirmed, Adjust For Hills is the culprit!

    Hi Mark,

I am using the default settings (i.e the settings provided if you click the Reset to Defaults button).

The only visible differences between our settings are:

    a) Flat Speed (mine is 2.49 mph)

    b) Adjust For Hills (mine is set to Yes)

I tried your settings and, guess what, it now works as expected!

It was only a brief period of trial and elimination before I determined that the Adjust For Hills option (when set to Yes) seems to cause this issue.

Maybe you can try it this setting causes this issue for you too.  I suspect it will.

Assumming that's the case, hopefully the Devs can fix this.... and thank you very much for your input - good team work :)

    :)

    Are these yor timer settings?

I changed to other ones and it still showed the correct place to add those 2 hours.

Hi Mark, I just saw your reply to my other post and came here to display the image, but I can see you've done it for me - thank you.

Based on the fact we're both using the same route and it works for you and not for me, should help narrow down the possible cause.

Message to admins - please don't hesitate to ping me if you need any firther info.

Or next to each other is better ....

Absoluite timings are probably because of different base settings, but clearly there is a difference in how the 2hrs is applied, I agree!

    Over to Admin!

I'm still struggling in my attempts to place an image in my forum post.  I've started a seperate thread to try and solve this.  In the meantime, here is a link to the picture:

As you can see, the 2 hour lunch break is added prematurely to the ETA timings.

I'm going to attempt to post a picture illustrating the issue but can't find any help on how to do so. I'm guessing I upload the pic to a hosting site and then link to it. I tired this but the image didn't appear in the preview box. Maybe I have it submit it to actually see it work?  Here goes......  (if there is no image beneath this then it hasn't worked!)

Mark, thank you for your reply. No, you're not missing anything, it does appear to be working as expected for you.  Unfortunately, it's not giving me the same results.

(As an aside, how to I post a picture in these forums? I can usually figure these things out but I'm strggling with the Insert Image button - how to I use the source box?)

I'll post a picture once I've figured out how to do so.

What I need to do now is work out why it's not working for me.  I did wonder if it was because I defined a start time in the Timer section however after changing it to 00:00, it's still not working.

With regards the Timer section, I'm using the Walking profile and everything is set to defaults.

I'm trying to think what else could cause different results between the two of us?

Seems to me that the 2 hours are added to step 32, as expected. Am I missing something?

    Hi,

I created a new route to try and rule out any strange corruptions that may have been present in the route where I first noticed this 'bug'.

It can be found here: https://www.plotaroute.com/route/2025466?units=km

Atter creating the route I added an extra direction (#31) to the route (outside a pub) and defined a "Stop Here For" time of 2 hours.

I then used the Timer function to generate ETA values for all the directions.

As you can see, the 2 hour rest stop is added to step 30.  Because these are Estimted Time of Arrival (not departure) times, I would expect the 2 hours to be factored into the direction timings from step 32 onwards.

Please let me know if you need further information.

Hi Richard - rest stops are a relatively new feature so this may be a bug. Can you let us know which route it is and we'll take a look?

    Hi,

Forgive me if this is covered elsewhere however I'm still new to this and struggling a little bit with the search function within the forums.

In summary, I've created a route and added a lunch stop with a 30 minute  "Stop here for" value however the 30 minute value seems to kick in a few directions prior to the lunch stop.

I'd assume the time of the first direction AFTER the lunch stop would be the time it took to travel to this stop plus the 30 minutes for the lunch break.  This wasn't the case. It was only a few minutes after the previous stop. I then noticed that the 30 minutes had been added a few directions prior to the lunch stop.  Obviously this is not correct however I don't know if it is a bug or I have done something wrong.

Any help would be much appreciated.
