'User error'..... I can see now that my option selection on download needed to include 'Directions'.

Thanks Jim. I've just downloaded that route as a GPX Route file and it looks OK to me. The file has all the directions converted to route points, which is as expected e.g.

Can you see this if you open the file in a text editor like Notepad?

should have added that I'm using Windows 11

It's a while since exercised this process so maybe I am missing something.

When I create and then download a gpx file as a route with POIs and look at it with a gpx editor the file is empty.

When I download the same file as a track it is as it should be.

When I look at files previously downloaded as routes they are just as they should be but repeating one of thos now renders an empty file.

Has something changed or have I forgotten to do something?
