Apologies for the multiple posts but I can't see how to edit my own post. 

My problem is not solved. Switching to the mobile side seems to create a thousand or more waypoints and it's become very slow so to correct my mistake will literally take hours. 

I just solved this accidentally myself. I could an option on the browser to "Request Mobile Site." I thought 'what ta heck' pushed it, and viola! Controls are back. 

I've had this before and it's rather frustrating. Using Plotarout on my ipad, I get most of the through mapping a route and the controls disappear. I can't even save it and open it again hoping they will come back as all controls are gone. I can't continue building the route but if there is an error I can't back up... and, regardless, I can't save so what's the point. I have tried with Safari and Chrome. Same problem. It seems to be for larger plots such as for a motorcycle route (which it claims to work for). This is not a new problem. I've had it before and usually just give up and stick with Google Maps but that has it's own frustrations. 

Suggestions?
