I haven't had any such reports lately, so I suppose the number of direction errors hasn't changed since last year.
Do you have a route to share where this would be obvious?

I'm afraid your workaround is the right way to go about it when the turn-by-turn directions are wrong.

I haven't used Plotaroute since last year, but I'm getting several instances of the route directions saying right turn when it is clearly a left turn ! Zooming in doesn't show anything amiss with the route trace. 

My workaround is to just change the text but it's a bit of a PITA to be honest
