You can export a route to a GPX file either when viewing the route on the Route Information page or when editing it in the route planner.  Select Download from the menu when viewing the route (or from the action panel on the map if you are editing it in the route planner) and then choose GPS and GPX.

Thanks Joel.  We're planning to add more tutorials and advice sections, so wll certainly include something on this and will see if we can find a way to promote this feature better.

A number of cyclists (not me yet) use GPS devices to alert them to turns, etc.  I had no clue that such was possible until I clicked the button that led me to those settings.  Suggest you feature this feature!
