    Beautiful place for a walk around the pond and over Buck Hill. This area has trails that are unmarked, but easily followed with a map. A section of the Midstate Trail crosses the area and is clearly marked. Several routes are possible. Highlights are the pond, beaver lodges, birds, and views. Mount Wachusett is visible from the top of Buck Hill when the leaves are off the trees.

    The parking area on McCormick Road has space for 10-12 cars, but rarely is full. There is no sign board or orientation map. The area is dog friendly, but beware of horseback riders from the nearby 4H camp.
