Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.
When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.
Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.

From the parking lot of the Whitney Middle School, walk a short distance east along Middle Road to the entrance to Orange Grove. Follow this road up to the main house (built in the 1730s), through its gardens and along the marked paths, past the water catchment and up to the Town Hill weather tower, the highest point in Bermuda.
From here continue along the marked route, past arable fields, a working farm house and by a banana patch, emerging onto Wilderness Lane. Turn right here and out to South Shore Road via Zuill’s Park Road. Turn left and walk along Knapton Hill Road, turning left onto Harrington Sound Road at Devil’s Hole. Continue into and through Flatt’s, turning left at Jennings Road. Emerge onto Middle Road and it is a short walk on your left to return to your starting point.
