Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.
When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.
Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.

From the parking lot of Prospect Primary School, turn left up School Drive lane and walk through Prospect, through the roundabout at the entrance to Cedarbridge and then turn right up Alexandria Road. Follow this road round to Fort Hill Road and then Middle Road by ZBM Studios. Turn left here, walk downhill and turn left onto Orange Valley Road by the Devonshire Post Office. Turn right onto Parson’s Lane, then join Vesey Street at the intersection with Barker’s Hill, and continue to Middle Road. Turn left here, walk up Middle Road and turn left at Store Hill. Turn left onto the Railway Trail (halfway down the hill), walk along the trail to Palmetto Road, walk past the Tynes Bay Incinerator, turning left onto Parson’s Lane, right onto Old Military Road and your starting point at Prospect Primary School.
