NB - Start & Finish are in different places. You'll pass the Finish point after about 250m running. It's worthwhile (before you start, during your warmup) identifying the exact finish point: this is the carved wooden upright board advertising <Two Oaks Broompark Woods Woodland Walk - Permissive Path> It's on your Right as you run outbound and you'll also see a slatted metal bench beyond it.

There is an intermediate barrier at ~1800m into this run - you continue straight on at that point.

The turnaround point occurs at ~2600m because of the staggered Start/Finish. This is at the barrier in Ushaw Moor: the Railway path continues straight on, but is crossed at this point by another path adjacent to NorthEast Assemblies.

START ///sugar.mirror.nods is the main notice board immediately beside the car park.
Run straight forward to the junction of paths.
R-turn [westwards] on to Deerness Valley Railway path.
Pass the Finish point (on your Right) at ~250m.
Go straight on at the intermediate barrier ~1800m
Turn-around at the barrier adjacent to Ushaw Moor ~2600m
FINISH ///fact.rivers.lifts at the carved wooden board described above.

    CALCULATE CALORIES

    About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
