    El punto de partida (A) es el pueblo de Olocau.
    Dada la extensión de la ruta, se aconseja hacerla por partes:

    Olocau - Cerro de la mata:
    Partiendo desde Olocau en dón Este, y hasta el inicio del itinerario geológico, es una senda muy agradable que transcurre en sombra.
    A partir de ahí, se avanza por la ladera de la sierra, con orientación sur; sin sombras, pero con unas vistas espectaculares de toda la sierra.
    La subida al cerro de La Mata, donde está la torre de vigía del guardabosques, es empinada, pero bonita. Desde lo alto del cerro, y mirando en dón Este, se ve la cartuja de Porta Coeli y el mirador-refugio de Serra.
    En la parte inferior del tramo final se observan otras sendas y pistas que acortan el camino, pero si las seguimos, nos conducirán a una verja infranqueable con el cartel de "Propiedad privada".

    Olocau - Castillo del Real - Poblado morisco:
    El camino hasta el castillo del Real puede hacerse por pistas o , como en la ruta marcada, por sendas que transcurren entre arbolado. En la ruta Olocau_1 hay otra alternativa, también por senda.
    Los más animosos pueden acercarse al poblado morisco, en Huerta de la Olla, por una senda muy bonita que transcurre casi íntegra a la sombra. A medio camino encontrarán la font de Belata.
