This week's route is a trip back to the Montopolis bridge. This route is very mellow on the hills and some nice smooth skating all the way out to the bridge. We will start at the Long Center terrace and do our standard downtown start, down Riverside over the ped bridge, around and through Seaholm, over the Butterfly bridge, left on Nueces to 3rd St bike lanes take that to Convention Center and join 4th st bike lanes, take those to Waller or even Navasota for more time on the ped path, then head south to 2nd ave take that to Tillery. Then a left on Tillery up to 5th where we will skate til we join up with the trail that will take us to the bridge. This will be the biggest climb but it's nice smooth concrete. At the top the bridge pavement isn't necessarily skateable but there is a sidewalk right next to the paved part. We can hang at the bridge, take a pic and get a breather then double back and head to home base. There is an option of skating towards the river if people are up for it but if not we will retrace our steps through downtown to home base.

    CALCULATE CALORIES

    About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
