Disclaimer: *quite a lot of coordination and skill involved went into doing this outing without an accident. Not a usual bushwalk. Some people would describe some of the scrambles as climbs. Bringing a rope and harness wouldn't make the route completely safe because of the loose unreliable terrain you need to traverse to reach the passes.*

There are nine passes that I know of. On Fri 24th Sep Keith and I did seven of them. This GPX is from that outing: https://www.strava.com/activities/6009982734 This is not a guide, just a record.

In order, starting at Korrowal Pass, the north-west tip:

    1. Up Korrowal Pass (main track)
    2. Down Winding Pass (short rope-assisted down-climb onto mildly exposed ledge)
    3. Up Bitter Cave Pass (short loose scramble, mild exposure)
    4. Down Toorok Gully (easy pretty ramp, no scrambling)
    5. Up Blarney Pass (a few options ranging from a safe squeeze to a 7m steep scramble).
    6. Repulse Pass out and back (highly exposed ledge)

Next would come Terreo Pass - tricky, steep, loose, down-climbing, vertical in places. We did that a few weeks later: https://www.strava.com/activities/6070707140

After Terreo comes the classic eastern path with stairs that everyone uses, which rises to the Col / logbook.

    7. Miners Pass down and up (easy scrambling compared to the others)

    CALCULATE CALORIES

    About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
