    - From Crianlarich to Tyndrum the West Highland Way follows a meandering route out of Crianlarich then zooms uphill, through a lovely valley. Along the route at Kirkton you can visit the remains of St Fillan’s Chapel, a healing pool, which he probably used for baptisms, is alongside the West Highland Way as it leaves Auchtertyre. Today, Tyndrum (pronounced Tyne-drum) exists largely to service tourists, standing as it does at the junction where the roads to Oban and Fort William divide. It was on one of the main droving routes in former times
