    Start: Globe Cafe - SK16 4RF
    • Up & over canal bridge on Ashton St/Shepley Rd
    • Immediate right turn onto path which drops down to canal towpath
    • Right onto towpath & follow to ~2k mark
    • Look for small path dropping away from into field on right (this is part of the Stride Thru The Woods route!)
    • Follow path down right-hand edge of field to reach good track at river’s edge
    • Right here & follow riverbank track unti you reach the bridge over the river
    • Cross bridge and take immediate right turn (thru ‘stile’) onto path on left side of river
    • Follow path thru the woods round a big bend to the left keeping river on your right
    • Path climbs up and gradually away from the river to gradually emerge from the trees
    • Straight ahead for a short distance then more or less straight ahead/slightly right at multi-path junction
    • After this, take every left turn at any junction to eventually emerge into the small Cemetery Rd park
    • Follow the left perimeter path to the gate & exit onto Cemetery Rd
    • Right for a short distance to reach Shepley Rd
    • Right here & follow back to start
