This route is 10 kms and can start anywhere that is convenient on the loop. There are three trees on this circuit, #1 Douglas Fir, #6 Chestnut, #10 Apple. This will take you on the Rotary Trail and along the Courtenay River Trail; a stop at the Rhododendron Park is a must when in bloom. The circuit can be done with any kind of bike but the Rotary Trail is gravel and may not be suitable for skinny tires. This loop can join TotY - Courtenay - #31, #35 by reversing the current direction, starting out from Tree #1 go to the Courtenay River trail (ocean side), after visiting Tree #6, continue SW on Lake Trail Road to Arden Road to pick up the northern part of TotY - Courtenay - #31, #35. To get back to the start, after visiting Tree #31, exit onto 26th Street, turn right to regain the Rotary Trail and travel South back to Tree #1. CALCULATE CALORIES

    About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
