This one is aimed at good lanes in bad weather and ideally a Westerly wind, but can get away with North westerly winds, which wouldn't effect the finishing stretch, just the beginning.
The last 8 miles home from Beaston are well protected against a NW / westerly wind, due to peckforton ridge & the climb up Brown knowl has very high hedge rows, which needs a direct North westerly to feel anything up there & it’s slow climb anyway. All these lanes are pretty good from a flood perspective, even the road past Peckforton is much better now with the large resurfacing repairs ( no flood anymore either.

Although this is aimed at no cafe stop, at 36 hilly miles it is a bit of a strech. There is Rose farm at 16 miles, with slight detour up the hill, but to early- good for Paula though.
However, the route can be easily shortened to 31 miles by cutting out the southerly Bickerton strech and Therefore Brown knowl, by simply heading home over Hart hill, at Bickerton church.Just have to see how the water is going normally I need 2 largest bottles for 36 miles.

    CALCULATE CALORIES

    About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
