Start at the sleeper bench on the hardcore path at the bottom of Colliery Field, approx. 40m along the path
Head towards the metal gate and the Countryside Centre
Shortly before the Countryside Centre, you will pass the finish line on your left hand side (sorry, its not time to finish just yet!)
Turn right just after the Countryside Centre and follow the woodland path
Where the old course turned right, keep going straight on, on the woodland path all the way until it meets the ride way at the 5-bar gate (just before the 5 bar gate, take the small gap/cutting through the trees towards the 5 bar gate
Head through the 5-bar gate (and the small single gate) and turn right onto the ride way (these gates need to be opened by marshals, no chains/padlocks)
Head straight up the sleepers (back on the old route)
Turn left into the colliery pond field (muddy field), stick to the footpath (no cheating and going straight over the field)
Head through the 5-bar gate and into the woods
Continue straight on over the top of Warren Lane on the ride way and down the sleepers
Turn right at the little tree (Keith’s tree)
Continue on the nature trail path over the two bridges and up the cobbles into the car park (its closed and marshalled)
Bear right and head towards the courtyard
Turn left through the wall before the gates and cross straight over Warren Lane and turn left
Follow this path to the right through the wall and head straight on, onto the yellow brick road (hardcore path)
Return onto the tarmac path for a short distance before taking the hardcore path (straight on) after about 20m
Turn left at the marshal and onto the tarmac zig zag path
Follow the path over the stream bridge and head straight up the stairs (or the grass/track to the side of it)
Head straight on, on the tarmac path and go through the metal gate
Head back past the finish line (its on your left), no, you’re not finished, you need to do another lap!
Do it all again, the next time you get to the finish line you have finished, well done!

    CALCULATE CALORIES

    About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
