General brief: Once back markers Laurie & Mark pass, assigned marshals' advance through the group to next assignment – see above. Marshals between assignments control side roads and uncontrolled crossings where the Highway Code applies, i.e. we have right of way. Only marshals may go ahead of the Leader.
23th April 2024 Update: No roles have changed and new marshals have been assigned roles to cover lessons learned from test runs and to augment those assigned in 12th April release.
Please can all Marshals be ready by 13.45 for the 14.00 start.
From 13.00, Maggi, wearing a white Cycling UK rucksack NW of start (see map), will hand Kidical Marshal labels to put on the back and front of HiViz vests. Please return vests and labels to Maggi afterwards. Maggi also has to count all riders out and back, so give her time.

Test and connect from 13.30 on Saturday. Leader & Back Marker will remain mic active, others mute.
Police advised, but not confirmed support – we invited them on Police Bromptons.
Notable from Test Runs:
1 – Park barrier will slow exit forcing riders to filter either side. Marshals gather balance bikes between barrier and road and be mindful of other park users.
2- Slow uphill (as designed) to High School.
3- Regroup and additional marshal points added to route.
4- Side roads should follow Highway Code, i.e. wait, but just in case marshals be aware.

About the Calorie Calculator
Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.
When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.
Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
