    Starting at the cafe, head into the country park, turning left just after the stairs on the right, there is an orange barrier against the fence. Follow the path through the woods until you come to a clearing and go left down the small stairs. Follow the track around until you come to a main path with main gates, go straight over and through the other gate and follow the track until you reach the main road.

    Turn right on the main road for approximately 200M then turn left between the houses onto a farm road. This can easily be missed so keep an eye out for it. Follow up to and through the farm and this brings you onto the old Ashton to Oldham Greenway. Turn left and stay on this until you meet Alt Hill Rd, turn left onto Alt Hill Rd and follow this all the way down. For those that have done the Tour of Tamside you will recognise this. Stay on this road until you go over a small river take the track immediately after the bridge on the left and follow this (there is a horse track running parallel with the track - Don't go on this, you will need wellies!!)

    Stay on this track all the way and it will bend to the left around a small patch of water, this will bring you out onto the main path close to where we started, here you turn right and head back to the cafe for bacon & egg butties.
