Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.
When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.
Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.

After a warm up within the park, exit the gates of the park and cross over the pedestrian crossing - turn Left and run down Avenue Rd - when you get to the bottom of the Parade (Jug & Jester pub) turn Right and run down Bath St - at the traffic lights at the junction turn Left onto Radford Rd - keep going until the junction with Willes Rd (just after Sainsbury's local) - turn Left and run up Willes Rd - turn Left at Warwick St and cross over the Parade - keep going to Dale Street then turn Left (by fire station) - run down the hill, cross over the pedestrian crossing and turn Right down Archery Rd back into Victoria Park - run through the park back to our meeting point.
5k Challenge - complete this route as fast as possible
10k Challenge - when you get back to Victoria Park keep going to complete one lap of the park and exit back on to Archery Rd and complete the route in reverse, try to do the second 5k faster than the first!
