Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.
When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.
Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.

Leave pump room gardens heading over the bridge towards the bottom of town - turn Right onto Spencer St and keep running straight over the mini roundabout and past Victoria Park - at the bridge by the tip turn left and run up Princes Drive - at the big roundabout at the top cross over the road to turn right (pedestrian crossing) - run down Myton Rd until you get to your chosen turnaround point, turn around and then run the same way back to Pump Room Gardens. * 6k - when you get to Myton Crescent turn left and run round the loop, turn right at the end and go back to the start
*7k - stay on Myton Rd nearly all the way to the end but turn around at Warwick School then come back *8k - continue to the end of Myton Rd, turn R over the bridge and turn around at the gates to St Nics park
