Difficulty – Class 4 (5 @ Flooks Nook) (4+ around 2500-4000cfs) Strong class 4 boaters will still be able to boat scout most of the run as eddies still remain. Generally speaking the lines through most rapids open up at higher levels but the water becomes very fast and the holes get more substantial. (Over 4000 call it a 5 cuz it's going to be pumping!)

    Distance – 4mi to 5.5mi

Levels - 500cfs at Lycoming Creek is approximately the minimum level for Rock Run. Most boaters prefer levels closer to 800-1000cfs or above for Rock Run but the bedrock nature of the rapids allow them to be run at very low levels, perhaps even 300 cfs. Paddling the remaining 1 ½ miles below the last falls will be scrapey and difficult under 800 cfs. At very low water (700 cfs and below) consider paddling only between Yellow Dog bridge and Flooks Nook.

    CALCULATE CALORIES

    About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
