Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.
When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.
Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.

This route makes the following assumptions: Runners will run up/down KY-62 hill to/from the cemetery in the two center lanes which will be coned from the corner of Main & Capital to the corner of Main & Glenn's Creek. The second assumption is that runners will traverse the Riverview Trail from the entrance off Main Street (near the Amphitheatre all the way to the BP Station on Wilkinson Blvd. where they will begin running on Wilkinson Blvd. up to the left turn onto Old Lewis Ferry. On the return runners will stay in the outside inbound lane of Wilkinson Blvd. all the way to Douglas Tire where they will make a right turn back onto the Riverside Trail all the way to the amphitheatre. The section of road from the corner of Wilkinson Blvd. and Old Lewis Ferry to Wilkinson Blvd. where Douglas Tire is located will be coned by Frankfort Police (Runners on outside inbound lane, traffic/vehicles on inside inbound lane).
