The walk starts from the car park on the hill behind Port Glasgow train station and runs up through Port Glasgowâ€™s Public Park then crosses over the cycle track then a hill climb up to Dougliehill Road. Cross this via the farm gates and continue through the fields to Port Glasgow Golf Club.
Here the route joins Devol Road for approx 1.5 miles then turns left onto Auchentiber Road for approx 600 yards until it reaches Loganwood House. Then turn right and follow the farm track for about a mile, en route crossing the small bridge over Gryfe Water, then cross over the farm gate at the foot of the hill on the left where there's a short climb to the top. Oon a clear day there's great views of Gryfe Reservoir, Kilmacolm and Port Glasgow.
Return to Port Glasgow following the same route back. Approx 8.5 miles there and back.
