This is a big tough loop with loads of short climbs, but nothing to severe however, the continuous up and down eats into the legs (3750ft). And avoids all A roads completely.
This full route needs at least 1 cafe stop and ideally 2 as mentioned below. There are several good ones on route. The 1st being at Manley Mere lake around 20 miles ( just before some hillier miles, but closed Tue/wed) There is several in Tarporley (old fire station cafe) however, the next more ideal and probably the best cafe in the area is Tillies at Bunbary (closed Monday) and approx 48 miles in, leaving 23 miles to the finish line, which is the toughest bit really on tired legs. Last bit through Carden Park is lovely, but the final kick in the legs🤪
This route can easily be shortened in to smaller loops via other cafe stops, like walk mill(closed Mondays), just after eaton golf club, from Waverton.
Another bail out and quick shortcut back to MG is to cut across from Beaston, at 42 miles in and only 6 miles to MG.
so This route is ideal, if all cafes are to be in play, from Thur -Sun

    CALCULATE CALORIES

    About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
