Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.
When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.
Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.

Start and finish at the Rose and Crown, Hundon
Start
With the Rose and Crown pub on your right hand side walk up the hill a few steps then turn right into a lane which leads to the church.
Walk through the churchyard keeping the church on your left hand side.
Shortly after passing Hundon Thicks Farm on your left look for a footpath through the hedge to your the left.
Cross the field aiming slightly to the right until you find a gap in the right hand hedge where the path turns eastwards on a farm track up the hill.
Follow the track until you reach Folly Road. Cross the road and continue on a path alongside a field hedge.
The well signed path tracks left and right until you reach a road North of Poslingford.
Don't join the road. Instead turn right along the hedgerow where the path follows the field edge until Poslingford church comes into view ahead.
Turn right up the hill on a track leading into the field. Where the track turns right near the brow of the hill continue straight on until you reach Folly Road again.
Cross the road and continue on a path alongside the hedge which eventually bears right downhill towards Hundon Church.
When you reach Hundon Thicks Farm retrace your steps to Hundon village and the Rose and Crown pub.
Finish.
