Left home at 09.20hrs and met Jose at Clifton Green at 09.30hrs. Before heading off, we saw two groups of Wednesday Wheelers on their way to Ripon. We headed off to Gilling, via Haxby, Strensall, Farlington, Snargate Hill and Hovingham where we stopped at the Park Cafe for a coffee and a bacon bap each. Fortunately, it had stopped raining on leaving the cafe. We headed on to Gilling, via Stonegrave and Cawton. We arrived at the village hall to find quite a gathering, of course, all socially distanced and all totally ignoring those not in their six, not. The Chamings were there, with Louise enjoying herself on a swing. Besides them, Dave Cook, Nigel Emery, Keith Benton, Alan Spence, Robin Hudson, Keith Wells and Brian Davis were there. that is until they all decided to go off in their different directions. We headed home, via Ampleforth, Coxwold via the gated road and then on down to Easingwold on the Thornton Hill road. From Easingwold, via Alne, Tollerton, then slightly off course via Newton on Ouse to Shipton by Beningborough, Overton, Skelton and then down the Shipton Road leaving Jose at Clifton Green. Where I returned home arriving at just before 16.00hrs. Washing my bike, before having a very welcome shower. Jose would have added at least 5-miles to that getting from and to home.

    CALCULATE CALORIES

    About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
