Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.
When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.
Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.

From the Devonshire Post Office, walk along Orange Valley Road, turning right onto Jubilee Road, then left onto Vesey Street. From Vesey Street walk up Barker’s Hill, turning right onto the golf cart track at Hole #3 of the Ocean View Golf Course. Staying on the paved cart track, walk up fairways #3, 2 and 1, emerging onto the Railway Trail at the top of Barker’s Hill. Turn right onto the Railway Trail and continue in an easterly directly. Turn right, off the trail at the point just before Store Hill, (which will be marked), and walk through Penhurst Park, emerging onto Middle Road. Turn right and walk downhill, turning right onto Hermitage Road. Follow Hermitage Road and Devon Springs Road to South Shore Road. Turn right and walk along South Shore Road to Tee Street. Return to your starting point at Devonshire Post Office via Tee Street and Middle Road.
