    Kleine Wanderung zum berühmten Delicate Arch - dem Wahrzeichen des US-Bundesstaats Utah, der auch auf vielen Autokennzeichen abgebildet ist.
    Der Weg und auch die Zufahrt liegen im Arches National park, für den man Eintritt zahlen muss. Es gibt eine Jahreskarte für alle Nationalparks, die sehr erschwinglich ist. Für den Arches Nationalpark gibt es zudem ein "Timed Entry System", sodass man im Vorfeld unter www.recreation.gov ein Zeitfenster buchen muss, in dem man dann den Nationalpark erreichen und hinein fahren muss.

    Der Wanderweg beginnt an einem Parkplatz und führt an einem (eher unspektakulären) Beispiel von Steinmalerei vorbei zunächst entlang von Felsen und später über ausgedehnte Felsflächen bergauf. Weiter oben durchquert man eine skurrile Landschaft von glatten Felsuntergründen mit welligem Profil, teilweise sandgefüllten Vertiefungen und darin wachsenden einzelnen Sträuchern.
    Am Ende erreicht man den Delicate Arch, durch den hindurch man über das tiefe Tal des Colorado Rivers hinweg die Rocky Mountains sehen kann.

    Schatten gibt es nicht viel, man sollte sich gut vor der Sonne schützen (Kopfbedeckung etc.)
