    Start: Traffic Lights at IKEA

    • Up Oldham Rd

    OPTIONS
    Main Route (total = 8.5k)
    • Cross Newmarket Rd
    • Continue down into Bardsley until the little car park on the left
    • Left to pick up the path into the Country Park
    • Follow where X-Trail finishes then climb up to the high path (reverse of X-Trail route)
    • Follow to end then left to Daisy Nook cafe area

    Shorter (reduces route by 1.2k to ~7.3k)
    • Left onto Newmarket Rd
    • Follow all the way to Daisy Nook
    • Down Stannylands to Daisy Nook cafe area

    Options Rejoin:
    • Proceed across Stannylands Rd onto canal towpath
    • Follow over motorway until you reach a gate
    • Exit the gate onto a road & directly opposite, go through a similar gate to rejoin the towpath
    • Follow until you reach a narrow bridge over the railway. Cross the bridge and immediately take the Left path.
    • Follow this path staying left, the path opens up into a wide concrete path down then up
    • At the top, straight ahead to shortly meet Lumb Lane
    • Cross road then go left and continue straight on onto Sandy Lane
    • Continue to end to find track leading into agricultural area
    • Follow to end then left on Raynor Lane (dirt track)
    • Shortly turn right to reach Lord Sheldon Way (at Park & Ride)
    • Left here and follow all the way back to the start
