This one aimed at an interesting longer ride to an even more interesting cafe stop at Riverside organic farm, after 25 hilly- ish miles.
The return is even better and with the wind of course We have to cross the river on a pathway and a couple of strange tunnels. And lock gates ( very interesting.

If for some reason we can’t get across that river, then , just before the tunnels is Smokenhall lane, heading south to the subburb of Wilmslow & on to A5018, which will lead us to New Lane, via a large roundabout over the river ( unfortunate , but the only way of doing it with adding loads of miles. New Lane, after a mile drops us on to the whytegateway , which, after 2-3 miles takes us past the station house cafe and our route again. It would be 5 mile detour but the most direct.
Then the rest is really lovely and some of my favourite lanes all with the wind.
Going out has a few tough bits into the wind, but also a fair bit of it is well protected. A route that works well if set off early before the wind gets up, if lucky.

    CALCULATE CALORIES

    About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
