    A route I did with my dog in mid-May, with an overnight bivy on top of Mt Peñalara! The route goes up first the classic "Zetas" path from Puerto de Cotos to the ridge of Dos Hermanas. From there, a ~40min detour talkes us to 2 more 2,000m peaks, including Peña Citores and Mirador el Cancho, where a small 1 room hut is located. Going back to the ridge we continue N toward the summit of Peñalara. Throughout the ridge, we find multiple bivy spots, constructed by hikers using stones in a rectangular shape to protect you from wind.
