    Hedge End railway station (or get there from somewhere else,
    e.g. Riverside Park). Up Shamblehurst Lane North, R at T,
    1st L, continue northwards (past junction where priority
    road turns L), then L at T. At X (Robin Hood Inn) R.
    at junction with Bishops Waltham road R then L. 1st L (just
    after side turning to R). At T (bottom of hill) R and up
    to Upham. Bear L; Brushmakers is up side road on R.
    From Brushmakers continue (W) past church, follow road round
    and down hill to Lower Upham. If going to Woodman, continue to
    main road; entrance to car park & garden is just before
    junction.
    If continuing to Alma, take 1st R (just before main road
    junction), cross main road to Alma.
    If coming back from Woodman, turn R onto main road, then L onto
    minor road to E of Alma. If coming from Alma, take road from
    car park round N of pub to the minor road. Follow road through
    to Durley Church, where bear L. At main Durley rd junction R,
    then at roundabout straight on. Leap onto shared use pavement
    after about 150 m. Continue on pavement over railway bridge,
    then L into path running parallel to railway. Continue to
    station.
