    10am to 2pm. 4 hours ride. we rode mtb to avebury the back way through cherhill and by way. not done that way since with pete 25 years ago. we had a drink in avebury lemon and ginger. chatted, i did some back stretch yoga. then we rode back way to galllops and up the monument.. i thought it would be so muddy but it wasnt so bad.. it was hard going.. they all had posh mtb i had my basic one. we took photos at the top. then cycled down the other side. and back to cherhill, and lower comptom then road back into calne.. said good at lower comptom 2 riders and 2 riders goodbye at bentley lane. saw martin i car coming out of his drive. then saw him oxford road he beeped at me, when my chain came off and i was bleeding.. it felt like a real work out but fun.. just about 20 miles. the weather was sunshine blue sky and head winds. good for losing a few pounds.
