    START:

    1. Proceed from the car park up for approx 1/4 of a mile where you'll come to a cross track
route to the left (called Doctor's Gate) will be the path we end on.

    2. Continue forward for for another mile or two and the route will bend to the left.

    3. At 600m now the crash site is a small walk off track to the left.

    4. Go back to the track and continue in the same direction for another 3 miles. There
will be a river/small stream on the right hand side. If you go as as a Reaps Farm
you need to go back 1/4 of a mile.

    5. Eventually you'll see to the left a road - head towards this road but once there
take the route to the left "Glossop Low Quarry Track" - should be walled on the left hand side.

    6. You will eventually reach Charles Lane - once you reach the folk of Hope Road - go back on yourself
and follow Hope Road round (housing and then industrial units on right)

    7. You then come to a Bus Terminal on Shepley Street. Continue Left and go passed some housing
and "Old Glossop Clay Shooting Ground"

    8. Continue along until Shepley Street folks slightly right and continue down there until a farm / cross roads.

    9. Continue straight on (don't go passed the farm) and approx 1/4 of a mile you will see a path on the right.
This appears after a sligh bend in the road. The path has a Barn opposite the entrance.

    10. This path (Doctors Gate) will eventually join up wit ha small stream/flowing river) follow all the way through
this vally and eventually fine the path we started on. Turn right to head back to the car.

    CALCULATE CALORIES

    About the Calorie Calculator

Our Calorie Calculator estimates how many Calories you will burn using Metabolic Equivalent (MET) values from Compendium of Physical Activities. The Compendium idenitifes the relative energy cost of undertaking various activities compared with doing nothing. We then combine this with your weight and the estimated duration of the activity, taking into account the length of the route and the hills involved, to estimate the total Calories burned.

When selecting an Activity setting, select the speed you would normally travel at on flat ground.

Please remember, the estimated number of Calories is just a guide and the actual number of Calories burned may vary depending on other factors such as weather and terrain.
